Coshocton- Donald Ralph Whitaker, 90, of SR 83 died March 30, 2010 at the Pallative Care Unit of Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
He was born April 20, 1919 in Coshocton County to the late Ralph and Sylvia (Hawthorne) Whitaker. He was a life-long farmer and a member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his grandchildren: Dawn (Jarrod) McClain of Newark, Tacy (Scott) Osler of Atlanta, GA, Erin (Andy) Rinehart of Powell, and Trevor Whitaker of Powell. Six great grandchildren and one expected.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Eileen (Hooker) Whitaker, who he married Sept. 1, 1945. She died Nov. 11, 2008. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Jimmy and Lowell Whitaker, and a
sister, Dorothy Fisher.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prairie Chapel United
Methodist Church with Revs. Everett Stoddard and Don Dolick officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie
Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the church.
