Donis Jones

Coshocton – Donis D. Jones, 84, passed away on Thursday July 29, 2021 at Altercare of Coshocton.

Don was born in Coshocton on June 30, 1937 to the late Harry and Lottie (McCoy) Jones. Don married Marilyn Meek on April 6, 1956 who preceded him in death in 2009. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Anne (Bruce) Adams of Coshocton, two sons; Steven (Joilynn) Jones of Coshocton, and Shawn (Mark Askew) Jones of Seattle, WA, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister, Darlene (Jack) Berry of Coshocton, sisters-in-law, June Meek of Westerville, and Diane Jones of Fredericktown, many nieces and nephews, and his friend, Jewell Terry.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a son, Scott Matthew Jones, brothers, Jerry and Tom Jones, brothers-in-law, Gene and Dick Meek, and sister-in-law, Shirley Meek.

A private graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 2 at Valley View Cemetery. Rev. Deb Quillen will be officiating.
