MOUNT VERNON- Donna M. (Graham) Fulton, 92, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, November 27, 2023.
She was born Aug. 19, 1931 in Cambridge to the late Lawrence Clifford and Leona Mae (Warden) Graham. She married Raymond Willis in 1949 and they had one daughter, Sara. She then married John E. “Jack” Fulton in 1960 and they had two daughters, Jody & Mary. She was married to Jack until his death in 1971.
Donna co owned Rose's dress shop in Barnesville in the 1960's, and worked at Mae Weaver's Dress shops in Zanesville in the 1970's.
Donna loved nature, watching birds, sunrises, and the changing seasons. She always said she “didn't understand how anyone could look at nature and not believe in God.” Her love, amazing sense of humor and wit will be greatly missed by her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Sara Willis Rine of Mount Vernon, Jody Fulton Slaughter of Mount Vernon, and Mary Fulton (Lonnie ) Trammell Johnstown; grandchildren, Eric (Jessica) Rine of Ashley, Amanda Rine-Day (William Jones) of Powell, Brandie (Erik) Petersen of Mount Vernon, Jill (Josh) Edie of Cocoa Beach FL, and James Anthony (Lauren) Slaughter of Waynesville; great-grandchildren, Graham & Reid Rine-Day, Leif Petersen, Miles Edie, and Hadlee, Colin & Carson Slaughter; and a sister, Nancy Graham Chattanooga, TN.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Rogers, Patty Rose; and a brother, Lawrence “Bill” Graham.
A private burial and graveside service will take place at Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon. Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
