Coshocton – Donna J. Shaffer, 88, passed away on Tuesday September 1, 2020 at her daughter’s residence.
Donna was born on March 17, 1932 in St. Mary’s, WV to Roy and Bernice (Campbell) Higgins. In 1969, she was married to Edward Shaffer, who preceded her in death along with parents, her twin sister, Glenna Weekley, and her brothers, Roy “Butch” Higgins, and Johnny Higgins. She was a homemaker and a seamstress, and loved flowers and gardening.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie (John) Large, and their children, Livia, Nick, and Evan.
A graveside funeral service will take place at 3:00 Saturday, September 5, at Franklin Cemetery on TR 479 just off of SR 83 S. A PA system will be in use to allow for spacing. Visitation will be held at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw from 12:30 until 2:30 on Saturday afternoon.
