Doris Fausnight

Mount Vernon – Doris Marie (Cline) Fausnight, 74, passed away on Thursday September 23, 2021 at Brookdale of Mt. Vernon.

She was born September 15, 1947 to Orrville and Zuma Cline. Doris was a graduate of Danville High School and Ashland University, and taught for many years at East Elementary, as well as working as a waitress at Spearman’s Restaurant in Millwood.  She married to Ivan Joseph Fausnight on July 29, 1973, who preceded her in death along with her son, Mark Allen Fausnight. She was a member of the Covenant Church in Mount Vernon.

She is survived by her children, Paul Fausnight of Mt. Vernon, and Joseph Fausnight of Ashland, Mindy Fausnight of Mt. Danville, Jennifer Klein of Gambier, Linda Knapp of Florida, Rebecca McClaflin of New London, Delora Hoffman of North Manchester, IN, and Vesta Fausnight of Fort Wayne, IN, Jay Moran of Ankneytown, her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog Chloe.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 Wednesday September 29 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Tim Overly will officiate. A cremation will follow, with burial at North Bend Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will take place from noon until service time.
