Doris I. Harding

MT. VERNON- Doris Irene Harding, 87, a resident of Country Court Senior Living, died Saturday April 6, 2013 at her residence.

She was born Sept. 1, 1925 in Nellie to the late Charles and Edna Ridenbaugh. She was a foster grandparent and a nursing home assistant for many years. She loved everyone, and cared for many people at the Mt. Vernon Developmental Center. She was a loving mother and a devout Christian, with a deep faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She is survived by a son, Robert (Brenda Eggers) Shults of Mt. Vernon, a brother, Clarence (Peggy) Ridenbaugh of Mt. Vernon, a grandson, Robert Shults, Jr. of Kentucky, a granddaughter, Juanita Shults of Mt. Vernon, and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Charles Shults, and a sister, Donna Warner.


In keeping with Doris's wishes, there are no funeral services scheduled as her remains have been donated to the Ohio State University Department of Anatomy for medical research. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is assisting the family. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
