Danville - Doris M. Neely, 85, passed away at the Knox Community Hospital on Saturday, July 27.

She was born August 20, 1938. She was retired from Ace Doran Hauling. She was a member of the North Bend Church of the Brethren, and a former member of the Eagles, Moose, and AmVets. She also was part of the “Lunch Bunch” through the Senior Center.

Doris was preceded in death by her father, Edsel Nyhart; her mother, Velma (Bailey) Nyhart-Hartwick; husband, Charles Blaine Neely; and sister, Sandra K. Patterson.

She is survived by her children, Kevin (Pertain) Buckland of Lewis Center, Deborah (Mike) Miller of Perrysville, Cindi (Charlie) Peck of Danville, Edsel (Paula) Buckland of Danville, and Cliff Neely of Butler; grandchildren, Connie (Josh) LaRue, Courtney (Matt) Dugan, Robert (Angela) Neely, Alisha (Dave) Elkins, Logan Neely, Jessica Buckland, Jason Frazee, Mike (Carrie) Frazee, Whitney (Alex) Petras, Ben Buckland, Kelly (Tom) Grogg, and Becky (Luke) Baer; 19 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Patrick Bailey will officiate. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery. Visiting will be from 9:30 until service time.
