Brinkhaven – Dorothy L. “Dot” (Butler) Elliott, 89, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday August 4, 2020, at home with her family by her side.
Dorothy was born January 28, 1931 in Brinkhaven to Franklin Corwin and Rose Mary (Lepley) Butler. She was a member of the Millwood Church of Christ, and retired from the Flxible Company in Loudonville after 28 years. She spent most of her time with family and friends playing cards, and enjoying God’s creations.
She married Earl H. Elliott on January 23, 1947 and they had 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. Surviving are Brenda Ferenbaugh of Brinkhaven, Renee (John) Doretich of Danville, Mike (Samantha Zimelis) of Danville, and Amanda (Eric) Strouse of Glenmont. David (Sharon) Elliott of Howard, Chad (Cory) Elliott of Howard, and Clinton (Bobbie Davis) of Loudonville. Gayle Elliott of Danville, Melissa (Bobby) Looney of Loudonville, and Jennifer (Amos) Johnson of Danville. Susan Sheldon of Brinkhaven, Levi Sheldon of Brinkhaven, and Nelson Elliott of Brinkhaven.
She was preceded in death by her husband, sons, Danny and Richard, sisters, Vivian Robinson, Vera Zollars, Pauline Shaw, and Marjorie Mackey, brother, Ed Butler, and an infant brother.
A graveside service, with a sound system to allow for distancing, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8 in the Tiverton Cemetery on SR 206 in Coshocton County. Evangelist Dave Jones will officiate.
