Mount Vernon - Dorothy M. Little, 83, died Tuesday August 17, 2010 at The Laurels of Mount Vernon.
She was born October 10, 1926 in Danville to Arley and Anna (Phillips) Smith. She was a former aide at Mercy Hospital, the Ohio Eastern Star Home, and Morning View Care Center. She also took great pride in being a foster grandparent with the Mount Vernon Developmental Center. Dorothy was a member of the First Church of God in Mount Vernon.
She is survived by her sons; John A. Ridenbaugh, Jr., and R. Lloyd (Melanie) Ridenbaugh both of Coshocton, a daughter; Deborah F. (Allen) Hurt of Mount Vernon, grandchildren; Kyle, Hope, Chad, Natasha, Amanda, and Joel, great grandchildren; Donald, Caley, Raeya, and Carson, siblings; Coretta Anderson, Marcella Goossens, Wanda McClain, and Larry (Margaret) Smith, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband; John A. Ridenbaugh, Sr., her second husband; Everett R. Little, and siblings; Frances McElroy, Earl, Glen, and Murle Smith, and Alice L. Coffield.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday August 20, 2010 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastors Bill Fulda and Tommy Goossens will officiate. Burial will follow at Workman Cemetery in Danville. Calling hours are from 6-8 on Thursday.
