Coshocton- Dwight Marvin "Darb" Beatty, 79, of 49430 Canal St., died Saturday, March 20, 2010 at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born April 7, 1930 in New Castle to the late Merl W. and Mabel P. (Fesler) Beatty. He married Donna Marie (Chaney) Beatty on Oct. 22, 1984, who survives. He was a member of the American Legion Danville Post #0650, and he enjoyed square dancing, Nascar, baseball, and having coffee with his friends.


He is survived by his wife, Donna Beatty of Coshocton, two sons; Dwight J. "Darby" (Sue) Beatty of Warsaw, and Derrick M. (Angie) Beatty of Coshocton, two grandsons; Jason (Jamie) Beatty of Warsaw, and Lane M. Beatty of Coshocton, two granddaughters; Kris (Mike) Unger of Warsaw, and Beth (Matt) Seman of Marysville, four great-grandchildren; Sydney Poorman & Gannon Unger of Warsaw, and Mikayla & Mallory Seman of Marysville, a brother, Jack (Beulah) Beatty of Gambier, a sister-in-law, Joanne Beatty of Mt. Vernon, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Joan Poorman, and a brother, Jerry Beatty.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Valley View Cemetery with Evangelist William Scott officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements.
