Howard – Dwight Van Buren, 96, passed away at home on Tuesday May 4, 2021.

Dwight was born in Lima on February 18, 1925 to the late Vernon and Ruth (Bowman) Van Buren. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra, children, Paula G. Ruzika, Denise J. (Scott) Stewart, Diane R. Schriver, and Michelle L. (Eric) Lutz, grandchildren, Paige (Kyle) Erdeljac, Travis (Alex) Stewart, Jeremy (Alice) Schriver, Mikayla (Trent) Strong, Liesel Lutz, and Aurick Lutz, great grandchildren, Olivia, Amelia, and Colton Strong, Gwen Erdeljac, Ryder Stilwell, and Kaiya Schriver, and nephews, Van, Brett, Todd, and Reed Liming.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Treesa Liming and her husband Richard, and a grandson, Kenneth Dwight Ruzika.

A private graveside service will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Worthington. Pastor Lee Cubie will officiate. Memorial donations are suggested to a local food bank of choice. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is assisting with arrangements.
