Howard - Earl F. Colopy, 79, died Thursday May 13, 2010 at his residence.
He was born June 12, 1930 in Knox County to Germonus S. and Selora (Arnold) Colopy. He was a 4-H Advisor for 39 years, and was a member of the Friends of 4-H Hall of Fame. Earl was also a member of several local commodity groups, The Knights of Columbus, the St. Luke Catholic Church, and formerly of the Parish Council.
He is survived by his wife; Beatrice (Malcuit) Colopy, daughters; Rochelle (Alan) Adam, and Cynthia (Phillip) Magers of Howard, 10 grandchildren; Derek, Devani, Monique, and Annika Adam, and Monica, Nathaniel, Vanessa, Marcus, Landon, and Marshall Magers, 2 great grandchildren, and 3 brothers; Arnold Colopy of Centerburg, Carl Colopy of Columbus, and Leo Colopy of Zanesville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter; Renee Marie Colopy, a son; Tomothy Earl Colopy, and sisters; Edith, Emma, Mildred, and Joan.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday May 18, 2010 at the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville. The Rev. F. Richard Snoke will officiate. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery.
Calling hours will be at the church from 6-9 on Monday, followed by a prayer service. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
