WARSAW- Edward Louis "Eddie" Braxton, Sr., 63, of TR 321, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at his residence.
He was born Aug. 28, 1948 in Greenville, MS to the late Stanley C. and Evelyn M. (Bland-Baron) Braxton. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, and was a retired officer from the Chicago Police Department. He was a member of the V.F.W., and he enjoyed photography, model airplanes, and spending time with family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by five sons; Stan (Nichole) Braxton, Edward "Louis" (Caroletta) Braxton, Jr., Anthony "Tony" Braxton, James Braxton, and Richard "Richie" Braxton, fourteen grandchildren; Malik, Anika, Kharisma, Jaylob, Draden, Abby, Cervera, Caleb, Aiden, Aerianna, Malachi, Lilly, Patience, & Trinity Braxton, two sisters; Laura E. (Earnest) Walker and Evelyn Braxton, and two nephews; Anthony Garriett and DeAngelo Walker.
A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Bill Dunfee and Minister Daniel Beckett officiating.
