COSHOCTON- Edward Allen Stoecker, 83, died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025 at West View Healthy Living in Wooster.
He was born July 6, 1942 in Coshocton to the late Howard and Arline Estelle (Renner) Stoecker. He served in the US Air Force from 1960-1964, and worked at the former Coshocton Stainless plant for 33 years, until his retirement. He was a 50 -year member of the Ohio State Grange. He had a passion for photography, and in his younger years he enjoyed hunting & fishing.
Ed married Jean Ann (Taylor) Stoecker on April 15, 1967. She preceded him in death on Jan. 19, 2009. Together they had two children, Debra (Jon) Croup of Millersburg, and Brad (Rachel) Stoecker of Dimondale, MI.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jaron Croup of Millersburg, Adam (Kristian Meek) Croup of Coshocton; two great-grandchildren, Elliot Croup, and Eloise Croup; a sister, Beverly Stoecker of Coshocton; a brother, Max (Waunita) Stoecker of Canal Lewisville; and several nieces and nephews
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Carolyn Christman officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard.
