Eileen M. Miller

Danville – Eileen M. Miller, 90, died Monday March 6, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living in Mount Vernon.

She was born on December 21, 1926 in Akron to Earl and Orpha (Shuman) Raasch. In 1946, she married John “Joe” Miller in Texarkana, Texas. They celebrated 70 years of marriage with family in December. She was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, and she retired from Knox Community Hospital after 24 years.

Eileen is survived by her husband, Joe Miller, their children; Keith (Barb) Miller of Danville, Rebecca (George) Brownfield of Millwood, and Greg (Beverly) Miller of Howard, a daughter-in-law, Carole Miller, and a sister-in-law, Margaret Raasch both of Mount Vernon, five grandchildren; Melissa (Shawn) Moreland, and Robert (Kristen) Miller both of Howard, Luke Miller of New York, John Miller of Mount Vernon, and Sarah (Grant) Durbin of Danville, eight great grandchildren; Blake, Brant, and Brice Moreland, Kaylin, Taylor, and Payton Miller, and Hannah and Zoanne Durbin, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Lynn J. Miller, and a brother, Clifford Raasch.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Friday March 10 at the St. Luke Church. Father Homer Blubaugh will officiate, with interment following in St. Luke Cemetery.
