Mt. Vernon- Elda Louise Cline Cornelius, 84, formerly of Millwood, met her Lord on May 11, 2010 at the Country Club Retirement Center where she was a resident.
She was born Dec. 9, 1925 in Virginia, IL to the late John E. and Mabel (Hudson) Miller. She was a long time member of the Owl Creek Baptist Church and of Riley Chapel Church. She was a staff member of the Ohio Baptist Association. She served as a missionary in Haiti, and traveled with her missionary group to Jerusalem. She was an Avon Representative and a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and playing cards with family and friends.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Judy (Clyde) Longsinger of Zanesville, one grandson, Paul (Camellia) Peters of Mesa, AZ, and two step-grandchildren, four sisters; Ellen Tablett of Silver Springs, FL, Sylvia (Edward) Doup of Bellville, Edna Ormeroid of Marysville, and Velma Carpernter of Beverly Hills, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband; Paul Cline, her second husband, Robert Cornelius, an infant son, and a brother, Harold Eugene Miller.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with Pastor Robert Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Riley Chapel Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time.
