Elizabeth F. Stotler

November 28, 1912 — February 8, 2009

Millersburg- Elizabeth F. Stotler, 96, of Clark passed away Sunday, Feb. 8, 2009 after a period of declining health.

She was born Nov. 28, 1912 in Millersburg to the late Harry R. and Nellie (Rollings) Hinkle. She married Claude A. Stotler on June 13, 1931, and they lived together on Claude's ancestral farm, it being one of the first military land grants in Mechanic Twp to George & Tom Carpenter in 1810. Claude died Oct. 20, 1990.

Elizabeth worked in the office of former Holmes Co. Auditor Vera Weil, and was Mechanic Twp. Trustee Clerk for several years. Her beautiful penmanship was always a topic of discussion.

Surviving is her son, Sam Stotler of Millersburg, 4 grandchildren; Kay (Mark) McCombs of Warsaw, Rae Ann (John) Pahoundis, Julie (John) Patterson, and Kirk (Michele) Stotler all of Clark, 9 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, a brother, Tom Hinkle of Wellington, a sister-in-law, Betty Hinkle of Millersburg, several nieces and nephews, and a special niece and longtime pen-pal, Sara Morgan of Nancy, KY.

In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by three brothers; James, Harry Jr., and William Hinkle, and two sisters; Madge Reider, and infant Faye.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at Killbuck Cemetery with Larry Siegfried officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements.

The family would like to thank Majora Lane Care Center in Millersburg for their love and caring concern for Elizabeth during her stay there.
