Ella J. Yoder

Howard – Ella J. Yoder, age 85, died on August 23, 2025 after a 10-month battle with cancer.

She was born in Holmes County August 24, 1939 to John and Maryann (Miler) Yoder. She married Noah E. Yoder who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Ivan (Amanda) of the home, Maryann (Alex) Weaver, Ervin (Mary), and David (Susan) all of Danville, Melvin (Mary) of Big Prairie, Barbara (Atlee) of Howard, and Esther of Danville; 49 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; and a sister, Dora of Mt. Hope.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a stillborn daughter; a grandson; a stillborn great granddaughter; 4 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Funeral services are being held at the home at 9:00 Monday, August 25. Bishop Paul Raber will officiate. Burial will be in Troyer Cemetery on Wharton Lane. Friends and family may call at any time. The Fischer Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
