MOUNT VERNON - Elmire Mary Hagans, 84, of 1575 Yauger Road died June 16, 2011 at the Country Court Nursing Home in Mount Vernon.
She was born Dec. 11, 1926 in Bellaire, OH to the late Steve and Lillian (Funk) Winke.
She was a homemaker. She looked forward to spending time at family dinners and spending time with the grandbabies. Elmire enjoyed bingo, shopping trips, and dinners out. For several years she and Buddy enjoyed their winters in Florida with their many friends.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Buddy Hagans, who she married April 5, 1946. Also surviving are two daughters, Darlene Baldridge and Susan (Craig) Payne of Danville. Five generations of many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great greandchildren whom she adored and two brothers.
Following cremation, the family will receive friends at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 1-3 p.m. with a meal to follow at the home of Susan & Craig Payne.
A private burial will be in the Workman Cemetery at Danville at a later date.
