BALTIC - Elsie Mae (Adams) Hothem, 91, a resident of the Oak Pointe Nursing Center and formerly of Bakersville, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at the center.
She was born Sept. 22, 1921 in Dover to the late Louis Henry and Alice Mae (McCreight) Renner.
She was a homemaker, a farmer, and had worked at the Coshocton County Home. She was a member of the Bakersville Presbyterian Church, the Ladies Aide, and Quest Club of Bakersville.
She is survived by six sons, James (Annabelle) Border of Coshocton, Eugene (Neita) Border of Cridersville, Richard (Maxine) Border of Walhonding, Donald (Becky) Border of Newcomerstown, Earl (Laurel) Adams of Cambridge, Ray (Judy) Adams of Warsaw. A daughter, Nancy (Ike) Domer of Newcomerstown. A brother, Marshall (Trudy) Renner of Canton. Grandchildren, Jessie Shearn, Alison, Elizabeth, & Emily Adams, Craig (Julie) Border, Brian Border, Jeff (Helen) Border, Angela Border, James (Trina) Border, Rhonda Baldwin, Pam (Kris) Zimmer, Eugene II (Tina) Border, Mike (Stephanie) Border, Rick Border, Bart (Abbey) Border, and Bret (Julie) Border. 22 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and many step grandchildren and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Archie Elden Adams in 1981 and Milton Hothem in 2001. Three brothers, Victor, Ross, & Stanley Renner. Grandchildren, Brooke Newman, Shelly Ann Border, and Raymond Border, and a great granddaughter, Laine Border.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Peter Matthewson officiating. Burial will be in the Tiverton Cemetery. Visitation is Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. and until service time on Saturday.
