WARSAW- Ernest Adams, 86, of Warsaw died Sunday, May 25, 2025 at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.
He was born Aug. 9, 1938 in Yukon, WV to the late Roe and Julie (Baker) Adams. He was an employee of the Ford Motor Co. for 35 years, until his retirement.
Ernest was a Third-Degree Freemason of the John W. Barkley Lodge #621 F&A.M. of North Olmsted, recently receiving his 50-year membership pin. He loved hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, and the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley (Blankenship) Adams of Warsaw, whom he married Jan. 16, 1968; a daughter, Lora Lynn (John) Hostal of Wellington; grandchildren, Erin Renee (C.J) Swander of New London, John Andrew Hostal of Wellington, and Leslie Dawn (Tyler) Gill of Bucyrus; three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Joey, & Hunter Gill; his siblings, Hazel Keen of Jewell Valley, VA, Minnis (Ruby) Adams of Spencer, Beula Lamie of Jewell Valley, VA, Roy (Wanda) Adams of Jewell Valley, VA, and Dora Dean Rife of Woodlawn, VA; a sister-in-law, Brenda Adams of Richlands, VA; and several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, Larry Adams of Spencer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Evan Ernest Adams; a granddaughter, Leigha Nicole Hostal; a great-granddaughter, Leigha Esabelle Swander; siblings, Ethel Hicks, Virgie VanDyke, Troy Adams, Norma Jackson, and Shirley Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Eddie Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery.
