Mount Vernon - Esther Billingsley, 83, died Wednesday December 24, 2008 at the Whispering Hills Care Center.
She was born March 22, 1925 in Coshocton County to Calvin and Elmina (Kanuckle) Hart. She operated the Clubhouse restaurant at the Apple Valley Golf Course from 1971 to 1982.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Edgar J. Billingsley in 1999, and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
She is survived by her children; Judy Noe of Howard, Dennis Billingsley of Portland, Oregon, and Marcia Brushwood of Annapolis, Maryland, sisters; Faith Giffen of New Castle, and Bonnie Mortine Newcomerstown, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday December 29, 2008 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
