Pembroke, VA - Evan Duane Carter, 30, departed this life Thursday while at his work. He was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio on May 27, 1985. He was a son of James Kendall Carter of Pembroke and the late Elizabeth Ann (Strange) Patterson. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was employed at Dish Network in Christiansburg, VA.
Evan leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife of eight years Bo Young Carter; his daughter Chloe Kim Carter of the home; his father and step-mother James Kendall Carter and Betty (Thompson) Carter of Pembroke; his brothers and sisters-in-law Travis and Holly Baker and David and Rhonda Carter of both of Danville, his sisters and brothers-in-law Laura (Baker) and Matt Kerr of Dover, and his nieces and nephews; Therin, Drake, Elizabeth, Kendall, Brookelynn, and Sophia.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, November 8, 2015 at the Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke, VA. A funeral service will also be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday November 13, 2015 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Jay Horn will officiate. Burial, with military rites conducted by the Coshocton County Veterans Council Honor Guard, will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday.
