Mount Vernon - Evelyn E. DeWitt, 92, died Saturday July 13, 2013 at the Country Club Retirement Campus.
Evelyn was born in Danville on May 5, 1921 to Russell and Marie (Trussell) Hoagland. She was a member of the Danville United Methodist Church and the Ohio Eastern Star.
She is survived by her sons; Bill (Bev) Stachler and James Stachler both of Danville, 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, step children; Charles (Deborah) DeWitt of Copley, and Candace Zarr of Powell, and 4 step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sue Ellen Durbin, her first husband, Lee Stachler, and her second husband, Charles DeWitt.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday July 16 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. The Rev. Mary Murtha will officiate. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery. Calling will be one hour prior to the service. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
