Danville - Evelyn M. Shults, loving mother and grandmother, passed away at her residence at the age of 96.

She was born in Cuyahoga Falls to Julius and Agatha Blubaugh. She married Clarence "Sam" Shults on May 28, 1941. Evelyn was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, and the Women's Euchre Club. She also worked as a phone operator at Cuddy Farms, enjoyed quilting, and was a Foster mom.

Surviving are her children; Samuel (Barbie) Shults of Columbus, John (Lorie) Shults of Danville, Pamela (Nestor) Aujero of Jefferson, OR, Priscilla (Gerald) Hines of Howard, and Frederick Shults of Danville, 67 grandchildren, siblings; Pauline Gardner of Danville, James (Katie) Blubaugh of Mount Vernon, and Raymond (Pat) Blubaugh of La Grande, OR.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sam, on August 26, 1984, a daughter, Delilah A. Schaub, a great grandchild, Kyle Ayers, and a sister, Dorothy E. Higgins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the St. Luke church in Danville. Father Homer Blubaugh and Father Victor Wesolowski will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 6-8, with a Rosary Service at 7:45, Tuesday evening at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville.
