Warsaw- Florence May Funk, 87, passed away Saturday, Oct. 10, 2009 at the Coshocton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Sept. 25, 1922 near Warsaw to the late Perry and Alta (Mencer) Darr. She married the love of her life, Franklin Junior Funk on March 21, 1947, who preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1992. She was a cook at River View High School, and head cook at Warsaw Elementary for many years. She was a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church, the Ohio Eastern Star, and she enjoyed cooking and baking.
She is survived by two sons; Jerry (Kareen) Funk of Warsaw, and Dan (Michele) Funk of Conesville, a daughter, Bonnie (Roger) Titus of Warsaw, four grandchildren; Janelle (Chris) Kron, Doug (Betsy) Titus, Tanner Funk and Kristal Funk, five great-grandchildren; Kimberly, Kirsten, and Lincoln Titus, and Ryan & Erik Kron, a brother, John (Margaret) Darr, two sisters; Donna (Hugh) Hedrick and Paula (Leland) Cooper, a sister-in-law, Joan Darr, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by Clarence (Mid) Darr, Harvey Eugene (Marian) Darr, Sarah McCombs, and Roland Darr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Ron Little officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, and until service time on Thursday.
