Walhonding - Floyd H. Walters, 74, of TR 423, joined his beloved wife of 51 years, Shirley, peacefully Friday, February 8, 2013, at the home of his daughter and son-in-law.
He was born July 16, 1938 in Howard to Levi and Lena (Underwood) Walters. He married Shirley D. Bemiller on March 26, 1960. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2011. He was also preceded in death by brothers; Roy and Robert Walters, and a sister; Dorothy Walters.
Surviving are his daughters; Rhonda Linn (Ray) Wilson of Warsaw, and Lisa Ann Walters of Mansfield, granddaughters; Casey Renee (Gary) Giffin of Coshocton, and Candice Nicole Rothrock of Millersburg, a grandson; Devlen Ray Wilson of Warsaw, great granddaughters; Mallory Rae and Melanie Shea Giffin, and a great grandson; Mason Randall-Keith Giffin, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, a sister; Rosalie (Tom) Phillips of Mount Vernon, and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Ben McKinstry will officiate. Burial will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation will be a half hour prior to the service.
