Englewood, FL - Franklin (Frank) Bruce Simmons 93, formerly of Coshocton, Ohio died January 14, 2022.

He was born on April 26, 1928, in Coshocton, Ohio to the late Lucille Delle (Buker) and Franklin B. Simmons. Frank joined General Electric in January of 1947 and retired on April 26, 1988, after 41 years. During his time with General Electric, he graduated on June 3, 1964, from the Manufacturing training program, was manager of Industrial manufacturing operations, a Graduate of Croton-on-Hudson General Electric Company Executive Program, was manager of customer service and Production control, and chairman of the ECR board.

Frank was a former Trustee for Camp Echoing Hills from 1983 to 1986 and received the District Committee Appreciation Award from 1985-1986 and Governor’s award 13-G cabinet as International Relations State Committeeman. He was a Zone 8 Chairman, Past President of Coshocton Lions Club, State of Ohio Civil Defense Corp. at Camp Perry, member of the Litter Committee, and Past Board of Directors at Circle Wood, Venice, FL. He was also a member of Canal Lewisville United Methodist Church. He built the Canal Lewisville Youth Baseball field on the Ohio Canal and also coached. He and Pauline went down to Florida to go camping and to watch the first moon launch in July 1969.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ruth Pauline (Funk) Simmons; son Dr. F. Bruce (Patricia) Simmons, III of Asheboro, NC; daughter, Susan Simmons of Naples, FL; Four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, Joseph E. (Lindsay) Budde, Hannah E. (Dr. Luke Botting) Budde, Franklin W. (Hannah R.) Budde, Franklin B. Simmons, IV, Parker, Cooper, Griffin and Elizabeth Budde, Jack and Lucy Botting, and many nieces and nephews. Burial will be at a later date in South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton. Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Ewing Chapel, Venice, FL and Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw are handling arrangements.
