Howard - George Edward "Ed" Krownapple, 75, died peacefully Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Spring Mountain on December 15, 1938 to Ralph and Helena (Hunt) Krownapple. He was a builder of beautiful homes in his community for over 45 years before retiring. He was a 1957 graduate of Warsaw High School, and a former member of the St. Luke Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the East Knox Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Margaret (Frazee) Summers, and nephews; Jeffrey and Brett Frazee.
Ed was a loving husband of 54 years to Sandy (Corcoran) Krownapple, who survives, and a great father to his 6 surviving children; Elizabeth (Paul) Kerr, Mark (Amy) Krownapple, Susan Dugan, Dawn (Chris) Allman, Richard (Tanya) Krownapple, and Tim (Sarah) Krownapple. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews; Geneen Schonauer, Kevin (Mary) Frazee, Madonna Rapp, Renee (Doug) Gilbert, and Todd (Joyce) Frazee. He was the proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Father Homer Blubaugh will officiate. Burial will follow in Spring Mountain Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 2-5 on Sunday.
