DANVILLE–
Gary Jay Hurley, Sr., 78, passed away Wednesday April 1, 2015 at his daughter’s home in Mansfield.
He was born December 21, 1936 in Canton to Garrett J. and Mary M. (Volzer) Hurley. He married Norrita F. Colopy on July 26, 1958. From 1960 to 1966, he served in the U.S. Army. Gary was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, and also the American Legion Post #650, and was a Life Member of the Local 90 I.A.M.
He is survived by his wife, Norrita of Danville; his children, Kelly (Dan) Burwell of Mansfield, Gary Hurley, Jr. of Tallmadge, Lisa (Troy) Rodeniser of Utica, Mary Margaret (Bryan) Funkhouser of Geneva, IL, and Jason Hurley of Berkeley, CA; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the St. Luke Catholic Church. Father Vincent Nguyen will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville.
