Mansfield – George A. “Sonny” Johnson, 69, passed away Monday, July 15, 2024 at the OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
He was born in Knox County on December 9, 1954. He was a retired Veteran, having served 8 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, and 12 years in the Navy.
Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Geraldine (Haught) and George A. Leedy. He is survived by his children, Jennifer Cooper, and Andrew and Anna Johnson; his 7 siblings; his dog “Dollar”; and many friends.
At his wishes, no services will take place. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is assisting with final arrangements.
