NEWCOMERSTOWN- Gerald Gene Geog, 65, of TR 121, died Thursday Sept. 13, 2012 at Lafayette Pointe Nursing & Rehab Center in West Lafayette.
He was born April 30, 1947 in Coshocton to the late Emerson Jr. and Wanda Evelyn (Baker) Geog. He was a veteran of the United States Army, and a member of the V.F.W. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, wood-working, and spending time with friends and family. He especially loved playing cards and horseshoes with his many friends at Lake Lila.
He is survived by a daughter, Ginger (Don) Balo, a son, Gary (Michelle) Geog, both of Coshocton, a special friend, Diana Geog of Neosho, MO, a brother, Ronald Geog of Warsaw, two sisters; Peggy A. (Paul) Kinney of Tallahassee, FL, and Lucinda S. (Larry) Corbett of Coshocton, four grandchildren; Caleb, Briana, and Andrew Geog, and Elayna Belt, three nephews; John Corbett, Mike Geog, and Ronnie (Denise)Geog, and two nieces; Chrissy Corbett, and Heather Geog (Greg) Cox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna M. Harris, a brother, Michael S. Geog, and two nephews, Richard Whiteus and James Martin.
A celebration of the life of Gerald Geog will be held at a later date. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
