Danville - Glen Arthur Mickley, 75, died Wednesday March 25, 2009 at his residence.
He was born May 13, 1933 in Danville to Clara L. (Gardner) and Ralph S. Mickley. On June 14, 1958 he was married to Christine K. Banner. He was a member of the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, the Knights of Columbus, and the Mohican Investors. Glen was also a driver for the Sanctuary's Meals on Wheels program. He enjoyed playing cards (horse) with family and friends and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He worked as a dairy farmer for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife; Christine, his children; Randy (Raymond Johnson) of Worchester, MA, Tammy (Dan) Joseph of Gambier, Connie (Ed) Auker of Plain City, L. Patrick (Jody) Mickley of Danville, Glenna (Joe) Armstrong of Sunbury, and Doug (Marcia) Mickley of Danville, grandchildren; Nathan, Whitney, and Melanie Joseph, Ryan, Glen, and Sarah Auker, Janelle and Kyle Mickley, Bailey, Collin, and Drew Armstrong, and Craig and Wade Mickley, brothers; Rodney, Harold, and Leo Mickley, and a sister; Martha Stutz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Ruth Ann Herbert, brothers; William, Earl, and Lewis F. Mickley, and a grandson; Chad Mickley.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday March 30, 2009 at the St. Luke church in Danville. The Rev. F. Richard Snoke will officiate. Burial will be in St. Luke Cemetery. Calling hours will be at the church from 1- 4:00 Sunday.
Memorial donations can be made to The Sanctuary for Meals on Wheels; PO Box 505, Danville, 43014. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
