Gloria Jean Proehl

WARSAW – Gloria Jean Proehl, 80, died October 14, 2026 at her residence.

She was born June 11, 1946 in Barberton, OH to the late Fred and Marietta (Getz) Wise.

Gloria was a member of Eagles Lodge #2736 in Portage Lakes, OH. She loved her Pepsi, yellow roses, and Harley rides with her husband Larry.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Larry Proehl. Her children, Shelley Richmond, Russ (Sheila) Fiorella, Theresa (Don) Jarvis, Robin Proehl, Randy (Jeniece) Bass, Holley (Chris) Lagenfield, and Christie (Matt) Paolino. Son-in-law, Greg Hooper and daughter-in-law, Brandy Bass. 18 grandchildren & 15 almost 16 great grandchildren. A sister, Marcie Phillips and a sister-in-law, Norma Wise.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Darla Hooper, son, Scott Bass, brothers, Vernon & Leroy Wise, and a sisters, Geraldine Board & Ellen Wise.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, October 25, 2026 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Sons of Herman 694 E Waterloo Road Akron, OH 44306.
