Warsaw- Grace E. McPeak, 89, of 28307 TR 35, died Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 at her residence.
She was born March 30, 1920 in Greentown, OH to the late Joseph R. and Emma B. (Selzer) Schwartz. She married Raymond E. McPeak on Sept. 19, 1946, who preceded her in death on Feb. 8, 2003. She loved gardening and caring for her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons; Clifford A. McPeak of Coshocton, and Duane L. McPeak of Warsaw, a granddaughter, who she raised as a daughter, Heidi C. McPeak of Warsaw, two grandsons; Shawn L. (Mindy) McPeak of Warsaw, and Larry Anderson of Cooperdale, five great-grandchildren; Katie Thomas of Warsaw, Evan, Raelee, & Kayla McPeak of Warsaw, and Kyle Anderson of Cooperdale, a brother-in-law, Ray Collins of Crooksville, several nieces and nephews, a special friend, Carol Miller of Coshocton, and her dog, "Fuzz".
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Douglas Raymond McPeak, a granddaughter, Michelle McPeak, seven sisters; Etta Stoneman, Zelma Hunn, Margaret Gow, Evelyn Mauer, Mae Tinker, Ethel Thomas, and Helen Collins, and four brothers; Raymond, Clyde, Byron, and Russell Schwartz.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, and until service time on Wednesday.
