Warsaw- Gretchen Harris Norris, 77, of 435 Maple St., died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
She was born Aug. 30, 1932 in Coshocton Co. to the late Emanuel D. and Helen Grace (Harris) Lint. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Walhonding Valley Fire Fighters, the Coffee Club at Mizer's Restaurant in Warsaw, the former Warsaw Lioness Club, and the Ladies Moose.
She is survived by her husband, Ernie R. Norris of Warsaw, who she married Nov. 24, 1956, a son, Mark Norris of Mary Esther, FL, a daughter, Karen (Steve) Jones of Dresden, four grandchildren; Lindsay (Derek) Collett, Kalieigh Jones, Yvonne Moshier, and Stephanie Mountain, two step-grandchildren, Melissa (Chad) Ackman, and Lesa (Mark) Hart, four great-grandchildren; Dylan Norris , Zackary Mountain, Emma Mountain, and Caleb Moshier, four step-great-grandchildren; Branson Ackman, Brady Ackman, Oliva Hart, and Alexis Hart, and a brother, David (Ann) Lint of Howard.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lint, and two grandchildren; Kaitlyn & Robert Jones.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Dairel Kaiser officiating. Interment will take place in Prairie Chapel Cemetery. A meal will follow at the Walhonding Valley Fire Station in Warsaw. Visitation is two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.
