WARSAW- Gwendolyn Laura "Ging" Emerson, 88, of 254 Spring Mountain Rd., died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011 at her residence.
She was born Aug. 9, 1922 in Sedalia, WV to the late Howard "Pete" and Minnie Lee (Ice) Davis. She married Maro Emerson on Oct. 10, 1941, who survives. She was a member of the Ohio Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening, and being a mother and housewife.
She is survived by her husband, Maro Emerson of Warsaw, four sons; Richard (Barb) Emerson of Warsaw, Dave (Verna) Emerson of Warsaw, John (Becky) Emerson of Coshocton, and Larry (Carolyn) Emerson of Coshocton, a daughter, Eileen (Bill) Darr of Newcomerstown, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Helen Conrad of Coshocton, and a sister-in-law, Eileen (Sonny Davis) Mullet of Coshocton.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, one brother, and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2011 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Joe Emerson officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time on Friday.
