Harold E. Miller

       WARSAW- Harold Eugene Miller, 82, passed away peacefully Friday, January 16, 2026 at Arlington Care Center in Newark, surrounded by his family.

       Harold was born November 26, 1943 in Coshocton to the late Russell and Marie (Eaton) Miller of Spring Mountain, Ohio. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1961. On December 5, 1965, he married Dixie Lee Crider, his wife of 60 years, and together they raised two children, Traci (Ruben) Clark of Granville, and Travis (Erin) Miller of New Albany. He was also the grandfather of Sophia Patena, Macallister Miller, Hamilton Miller, Nathan Clark and Mariah (Cody) Bevington; and great grandfather to Adley Bevington.

       Harold served in the National Guard. He worked for American Electric Power for 32 years, where he also served as Union President of the IBEW Local 1466. He was known as a steady, reliable worker who took his responsibilities seriously and could talk easily with people one-on-one. He spent many years playing softball in local leagues and also coached several softball teams over the years. More recently, he enjoyed watching his granddaughter play softball.

       Harold was a lifelong fan of classic cars, especially his 1964 GTO. He was active in Good Guys and his local car club and liked attending car shows in both Ohio and Florida. He took pride in maintaining his car and showing it at events.

       In addition to his wife, Dixie and his children and grandchildren, Harold is survived by his brother, Jim (Karen) Miller of New Smyrna Beach, FL; several nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Rocky Crider of Phoenix, AZ.

       In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, John (Linda) Crider; and a sister-in-law, Judy Crider.

       He will be remembered as a hardworking man who provided for his family, stayed true to his commitments, and enjoyed simple, steady routines throughout his life.

       Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Fischer Funeral Home, 412 E. Main St. Warsaw, OH 43844, with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard.
