Myrtle Beach, SC – Harvey D. DeVore, Sr., 77, of Greenwich Ohio, died Friday December 16, 2016 at the Grand Strand Hospital.
He was born in Knox County on July 9, 1939 to Ralph and May (Sapp) DeVore, who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his wife, Wanda DeVore, a daughter, Melinda DeVore, a brother, Glenn DeVore, and a sister, Maxine.
Surviving are his children; Harvey D. (Vivian) DeVore, Jr. of Salisbury, NC, Tammy Knittel of Hastings, FL, Thomas (Robin) DeVore of Elyria, OH, David DeVore of Greenwich, OH, Michelle (Ron) Schuster and Danny DeVore of Columbus, OH, his siblings; Gladys Moody of Newark, OH, Paul DeVore of Danville, OH, Byron DeVore of Union Grove, NC, Dorothy Kelser of Mooresville, NC, and Betty Sapp of Mount Vernon, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Covenant Church, 13360 New Delaware Rd. Mount Vernon, OH 43050, on Friday December 23. Pastor Tim Overly will officiate. Burial will follow in Tiverton Cemetery on SR 206 in Tiverton Township, Coshocton County. Visitation will be from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. on Friday at the church.
