Helen M. Horn

WALHONDING - Helen M. Horn, 77, of SR 206 died May 3, 2010 at her residence.

She was born Oct. 4, 1932 in Coshocton County to the late William Howard and Estella (Reed) Warner.

Helen was a homemaker. She served as a cook at the Christian Camp at Pilgrim Hills and also at Kenyon College. She was a pie baker for the former River Belle Restaurant in Warsaw and Monty & Gayle's Restaurant in New Castle. She was a member of the Walhonding Church of Christ. She was a former member of the Gutter Dusters Bowling League and she and her husband were both active in the Senior Bowling Leagues in Mount Vernon and Coshocton. She was also an accomplished seamstress and quilter.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcia J. Horn of Warsaw. Two sons, Stanley H. (Diane) Horn of West Lafayette and Lloyd W. Horn of Walhonding. Four grandchildren, Jennie, Ryan, Brittany, & Amanda Horn. A sister, Ava Englehardt of Millersburg. A brother, Willis Warner of Loudonville, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Horn, who she married Aug. 19, 1951, he died Feb. 25, 2005. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Englehardt and two brothers, Harold and Arthur L. Warner.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 7, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rick Lumbatis officiating. Burial will be in the Tiverton Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. and until service time on Friday. A time of food and fellowship will be held at the Walhonding Church of Christ following the service at the cemetery.
