DANVILLE- Helen Irene Workman, 95, of 24431 Danville-Amity Rd., died Saturday, August 22, 2015 at home.

She was born April 8, 1920 in Gambier to the late Alfred and Mary Alice (Richert) McMahon. She was married to Eldon E. Workman for over 70 years, from April 9, 1938 until his death on July 27, 2008. She was his helpmate on the farm and a homemaker. She was a member of North Bend Church of the Brethren, where she attended for many years. Later in life she worshipped at the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter; Sheila (Glenn) Nyhart, and two sons; Marvin (Sandie) Workman and Norman (Phyllis) Workman, six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers; Paul, Edward and Raymond McMahon, and two sisters; Mary Schleuter and Rachel Briggs.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at North Bend Cemetery, 24458 Orange Hill Rd. Danville, OH 43014, with Pastor James Lifer officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
