Mount Vernon - Herbert R. Sapp, Sr., 73, passed away Saturday December 14, 2013 at his son's residence near Bellville.

He was born October 6, 1940 in Tiverton Center to Raymond E. and Eva J. (Strouse) Sapp. He was a retired machinist from Cumberland Swan/Perrigo. He enjoyed camping trips with his children and grandchildren, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children; Phyllis (Chris) Hagan of Murfreesboro, TN, Carolyn (Mark) Preece and Cindy (Ed) Robinson of Mount Vernon, Herbert Jr. (Paula) Sapp of Bellville, Judy (Todd) Woosley and Jeremy and Heidi (Sapp) Muralt of Mount Vernon, 9 grandchildren, 20+ great grandchildren, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers; Clarence, Robert, Lloyd, David, and Dale, and a sister, Grace Wagner.

A funeral service will be held at noon on Tuesday at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Andy Angel will officiate. Burial will follow in Tiverton Cemetery. Visiting will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
