Imogene (Carter) Wilson

Warsaw – Imogene (Carter) Wilson, age 87, died at the Ohio Eastern Star Home Mooreland-Hughes Rehabilitation on August 9, 2026.

Imogene was born in Nellie on May 11, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Emmet W. and Irene (Wright) Carter. She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1957. On July 10, 1959, she was married to Samuel Woodrow “Woody” Wilson. He also preceded her in death on February 7, 2016.

Imogene worked at the Coshocton County Treasurers Office for many years. She was a longtime member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over 60 years. She also volunteered with the Pink Ladies at Coshocton Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by her son, Jeff (Jodi) Wilson of Warsaw; daughter, Julie (Jeff) Horner of Powell; three grandchildren, Morgan (Zach Bott, fiancé) Wilson of Lewis Center, Samuel Wilson of Warsaw, and Daniel Wilson of Troy, MI; sister-in-law, Judy Fesler of Coshocton; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 21, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Mark Unrue officiating. Calling hours will be from 5-7:00 Thursday evening, Aug. 20th at the funeral home, with an Eastern Star service taking place at 6:45. Private interment will take place at Valley View Cemetery at a later date.
