Jack E. Beatty

       GAMBIER- Jack Eugene Beatty, 87, passed away Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mt. Vernon.

       He was born Feb. 4, 1939 in New Castle to the late Merle W. and Mable P. (Fesler) Beatty. He was a 1957 graduate of Union High School, and a member of Woods Christian Church. Jack was a life-long dedicated farmer.

       He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beulah M. (Auker) Beatty, whom he married Feb. 2, 1963; their two daughters, Kerry (Dale) Hale of Warsaw, and Deena (Ed) Davis of Howard; five grandchildren, Megan Miller, Scott Vance, Sara (Chase) Henthorn, Casey Davis, and Jack Davis; three great-grandchildren, Devon Miller, Jackson Vance, and Joshua Vance; as well as several nieces and nephews.

       In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry (Jo Anne) Beatty and Dwight M. "Darb" Beatty; and a sister, Joan Poorman.

       Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor James Wood officiating. Burial will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, Aug. 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. FischerFuneralHome.com
