Jack K. Cullison

Warsaw- Jack Keith Cullison, 75, of 105 W. Fourth St., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, as he was surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born April 6, 1933, in Coshocton to James Carl and Mina Opal (Neldon) Cullison. He married Janice Lee (Haines) Cullison on Sept. 27, 1953, whom survives. During the Korean Conflict, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Philippine Sea (CVA-47), and later on the USS Norton Sound (AVM-1). He was a bulk milk hauler for 22 years, and was a school bus driver for River View Schools for 10 years. He attended Calvary Baptist Church, and was a past member of the Warsaw Fire Dept., and Warsaw Lions Club. He enjoyed wood-working, hunting, and fishing with his son and grandsons. He and his wife traveled extensively throughout the United States to watch and support their grandsons in athletics and also enjoyed vacationing with his family in Myrtle Beach, SC. He was an avid fan of Ohio State Athletics, in particular Cross Country, Track and Field, and Football.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jerry (Linda) Cullison of Lewis Center, a daughter, Pamela (Terry) Olinger of Fresno, a granddaughter, Jerilyn (Matt) Rademacher of Westerville, four grandsons; David Cullison and friend Chhavy Tep of Columbus, Brian (Jamie) Olinger of Westerville, Jason Olinger of Fresno and friend Jenny Elder of West Lafayette, and Christopher Olinger of Fresno and friend Kelly Heller of Plainfield, two great-grandsons; Alex and Eric Rademacher of Westerville, a sister, Betty Rine of Marion, a brother, James Cullison of Columbus, a sister-in-law, Harriet Cullison of Coshocton, several nieces and nephews, and a Special Friend, Ryan Pretorius of Columbus.

He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Dale, Raymond, and Wayne, and two sisters, Nellie Miller and Pauline Chartrand.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28th, with Pastor Cal Searles and Minister Eli Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, with graveside military rites conducted by the Coshocton County Joint Veterans Council.
