Coshocton- Jacqueline Ann "Jackie" Smith, 80, formerly of CR 49 Warsaw, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital Extended Care Facility, where she was a resident.
She was born Oct. 15, 1928 in Point Pleasant, WV to the late Charles and Uhla (Yost) Lawson. In 1949, she was married to William Gale "Bill" Smith, whom preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 2004. She was employed by Coshocton County Children Services as a worker's aide. She enjoyed reading, music and dancing.
She is survived by her son, Steve Scruggs of Delaware, grandsons; Emerson and Zane Smith of Worthington, Steve Scruggs, Jr. of Florida, granddaughters; Kristy and Andrea and great-grandson Conner of Illinois and Florida.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Michael Gale Smith, and a grandson, Martin Michael Scruggs (twin brother to Steve Jr.).
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Blissfield Cemetery with Rev. Ron Davis officiating. Visitation will be held immediately preceding the graveside service from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, who are handling arrangements.
