Danville – Jacob J. Yoder, 55, died Friday, January 6, 2017 at his residence following a 3 year battle with cancer.

He was born in Orrville on May 18, 1961 to Jonas A. and Saloma (Mast) Yoder. He married Ada R. (Miller) Yoder on February 2 of 1982. She survives. He was a wood worker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Rachel (Samuel) Gingerich of the home, Emery (Lovina) Yoder of Fredericksburg, John (Laura) Yoder of Danville, and Barbara (Alfred) Stutzman of Danville, 7 grandchildren, brothers; Raymond (Mary) Yoder, Emanuel (Susan) Yoder, John (Mattie) Yoder, Andy (Laura) Yoder, Levi (Anna) Yoder, and Jonas Jr. (Ada) Yoder, and brothers-in-law; Joe (Erma) Miller, Monroe (Katie) Miller, Roy Jr. (Ella) Miller all of Holmes County.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 9 at 8:30 am at the family home, 23390 Snively Rd. Danville, 43014. Bishop Andy Byler will be officiating. Friends can call anytime. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is assisting with arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
