Danville - James C. Elliott, 85, died Sunday June 28, 2009 at his residence.
He was born March 24,1924 in Mount Vernon to Mary (Greer) and Holly Elliott.
He loved fishing and hunting and he was a member of the American Legion Post 650 for 60 years.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie (Summers) Elliott, a son, Max (Jennie) Elliott, grandchildren, Erica (Abby) Elliott, Jason (Tonya) Elliott, Aaron (Carrie) Elliott, Holly, Kane, and Luke Elliott, and great grandchildren, Anna, Ben, Gavin, Cody, Trevor, Sedona, Delia, Steve, and Alisaann Elliott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Monty and Rex Elliott, a sister, Nancy Keller, and a step-son, Roger Ferenbaugh.
There will be no services. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Rd., Mount Vernon, 43050, or the Danville Fire/EMS (E.K.C.J.F.D.), PO Box 526, Danville, 43014. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
