Jane A. Olin

HENRYVILLE, IN- Jane Adele Olin, 76, of Henryville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2025. She was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio on August 30, 1948 to the late R. Blaine and Susan Heaton Greer.

A woman of unwavering faith and quiet strength, Jane was a dedicated member of Memphis Christian Church and a proud supporter of veterans. She was a Lifetime Associate Member of the Marine Corps League. Her life was marked not by accolades or achievements, but by her deep devotion to her family and her Lord. Above all, Jane will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her kindness, grace, and steadfast love shaped generations, and her legacy lives on through the lives she touched so deeply.

She lived as a child in the Greer area, and graduated from both Danville High School (1966) and Ashland College (1970). On June 14, 1969, she married James L. Olin of Ashland. She home-schooled her four children, then tutored her grandchildren and others for high school courses. Once their children were grown, she worked many years at the Clark County Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, James Lewis Olin; her children, Jennifer Collins (John), Joseph Olin (Sara), Benjamin Olin (Sarah), and Mark Olin; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; her siblings, Marilyn Greer of Mount Vernon, David Greer of Danville, and Gretchen Tipton (Norman) of Shreve.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, and from 12 to 2 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Scott Funeral Home, 2515 Veterans Parkway, Jeffersonville, Indiana, with her funeral service to follow at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Visitation in Ohio will take place on Saturday, June 28th at Fischer Funeral Home, 403 High St. Danville, OH 43014, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Workman Cemetery. A memorial fellowship lunch will be held at Greer Wesleyan Church, 20189 SR 514, Glenmont, OH 44628,  12:30 p.m.
