Walhonding - Janet Charlene Blue, 72, of Woods Church Rd., passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday January 4, 2014 at Riverside Hospital.
She was born December 15, 1941 in Coshocton to Hyle G. and Mildred I. (Long) Stokes. She graduated from Coshocton High School in 1959. On September 22, 1961, she was married to Billy Lee Blue. She worked for Herald Appliances and Kenyon College Food Services. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, and was happiest when in the company of her family.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Gloria Stokes of Walhonding, sister, Manda Kreider (David Smith) of Alabama, sisters-in-law; Dorothy Stokes of Florida, Charlene Stokes of Texas, and Betty (John) Frost of Columbus, many nieces and nephews, and her canine and feline "babies"; Riley, Emmie, and Moxie.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, a loving daughter, Kelly Lynn Borror, and her husband Greg, and brothers; Ralph and Roger Stokes.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday January 9 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Roger Tickle will be officiating. Burial will follow in Woods Church Cemetery in Butler Township. Visitation will be an hour prior to the service.
